What other books have you written? What are you working on?
The novels I have written and published so far are Before I Fall, Delirium (the first book in the Delirium trilogy), and Liesl and Po, a book for middle grade readers. But I have lots of projects in the pipeline: Pandemonium, the second book in the Delirium series, comes out in March 2012, and I have a second middle grade novel called The Spindlers due out in Fall 2012. So keep checking back!
Will there be a movie version of Before I Fall? What about Delirium?
Both Before I Fall and Delirium have been optioned for film by Fox 2000, and both have great scripts. Keep crossing your fingers that they'll actually make it to the big screen!
We're reading one of our books for our book club/classroom. Is there a study guide we can use?
Yes! Please click here for discussion guides for all of my books, and please feel free to check out the book pages for Can you come visit my school/library? I love doing school and library visits, although due to time and travel, I am not always free to jet off to Virginia/California/Washington, as much as I would like to. Please email all appearance requests to my publicist.
Can I interview you for my blog? What about for my school project?
I do my best to honor all interview requests, but please understand that due to the volume of the requests I receive, it is not always possible. You can always send questions to me at laurenoliverbooks at gmail dot com and I will let you know whether I will be able to respond in a timely fashion (i.e., not wayyyy after your report is due!). In the meantime, please check out my biographical information here—it may answer some of your questions.
Do you have any advice for aspiring writers?
First of all—write! Then write, write, write, and write some more. Also, read as much as you can.
I am a book reviewer and would like to request review copies of one of your upcoming novels. How do I get one?
Please email my publicist! She will handle all requests, although sadly even she cannot guarantee that every single person who requests an ARC will get one. But it's worth a shot.
Will you read my unpublished or self-published short stories or novels? Will you consider reading my soon-to-be published novel with a mind to giving it a blurb?
Due to time limitations, I simply can't read any of the numerous submissions that land in my inbox. And because of my work with the literary development company, Paper Lantern Lit, I have a strict no-blurb policy, for reasons of integrity and conflict of interest.
Paper Lantern wha…?

What are your favorite books?
I have so many, and because I'm an avid reader, I discover new favorites every day. But here's a short list: Matilda, by Roald Dahl; Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen; the Harry Potter series; His Dark Materials, by Phillip Pullman; One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez; On Chesil Beach, by Ian McEwan; Middlesex, by Jeffrey Eugenides.
